2010 WESAK DAY EVE CELEBRATION
The Hermitage will have the Wesak Celebration on the eve of Wesak Day (27th May Thursday).
The ceremony will commence at 7pm with the lighting up of candles and a circumambulation the Buddha’s Relics Pagoda.
We will then offer flowers, candles, incense and water to the Pagoda, followed by Pali Sutta chanting and offerings of robes
and necessities to the Sangha members and nuns. The Abbot, Bhante Vajira, will also be giving a Dharma Talk on this auspicious night.
We welcome all Dharma friends to attend this meaningful and holy celebration!
All Dharma friends who are interested in contributing any amount to the offerings to the Sangha and nuns, please kindly contact the Hermitage.
All remaining funds will be transferred to the Hermitage Fund for the running of the Hermitage.

May the holy merits accrued be contributed towards the attainment of Nibbana.

2010 卫塞节前夕庆典
一年一度的卫塞节又来临了!为了迎接这个富有意义的日子，禅院将于卫塞节前夕27/5/2010（星期四）晚上七点正燃烛绕舍利塔一周。然后在舍利塔前献供鲜花，灯烛，香与水。接着是僧众诵经祈福及供养袈裟及必需品给僧众及尼师仪式。住持法居乐比丘也将于当晚讲经及佛法分享。欢迎众法友踊跃出席此胜会！

筹建 ‘仙人堕处’禅院 Isipatana Hermitage Building Fund
一夜贤者禅院于最近由善信捐献了一块十二英亩的地段位于柔佛州哥打丁宜的南亚港 (Telok Sengat) 作为推广佛法及禅修道场。 此地段沿着河岸, 可以瞭望对岸的 ‘贡贡村’ 码头。 环境优美寕静, 是个适合密集禅修的地点。
禅院计劃於此设立一所禅院让僧众静修, 取名为 ‘仙人堕处’ 禅院, ‘Isipatana Hermitage’。 ‘Isi’ 译为 ‘仙人’, ‘Patana’ 译为 ‘落下处’, 是佛陀在印度初转法轮的地方。 佛陀在 ‘仙人堕处’ 林里的鹿野苑为五比丘说法。 禅院为此禅修道场取此吉祥名称, 除了纪念佛陀初转法轮这殊胜的地方, 也希望此新禅院能延续佛陀的教法, 发挥其功能让佛法广为实行及流传。
‘仙人堕处’ 禅院将于雨安居后邀请僧众过去居住。 为此, 禅院首先筹建一些基本设施, 包括僧众尞房,食堂及厨房。
鉴于此, 希望大家随喜布施, 一同分享此殊胜功德!
